The ACSian Expereience
Wednesday, June 28, 2006 @4:26 PM
W00T! Im so happy! I just won an award in a Poetry Competition. The topic was the ACSian Expreience, and I managed to get a merit award for it. Its like really crappy and full of crap and it was written when I was feeling crapped up with schoolwork. But I must really credit and thank Miss Koh for all that she has taught me and it has really given me a boost in ACS. You will notice that I used Miss Koh's decription of 6I, and probably impressed the judges? =) I'll just show you la...Getting my prize from Drong on friday...In casual wear because of Youth Day...Geez... Ok lets not dilly and dally and read on.The ACSian Experience
Graduating from primary school,
Integrating into a Secondary one,
Forlorn and nostalgic without old friends
Embarking on this ACSian Experience.
My home now ACS (I),
With so many great teachers,
Have taught me much, much more
Then I ever knew before.
History, Geography and Literature and all so new to me,
Without my teachers where would I be?
Other subjects have become harder,
So are some teachers on us than others.
Classmates from all the world,
Widen greatly my friendship circle.
Some loyal, others funny or wacky,
So many personalities to see on my journey.
A school which is CCA-oriented,
The ‘creme de la creme cultivated.
Only excellence is achieved in all there is,
No school can beat us in this.
The ACSian experience continues,
Teaching us more knowledge and values,
Becoming true Scholars, Officers and Gentlemen,
To help in the future as a Global Citizen.
Done on 15 April 2006Hope you like it, but know that my loyalties lie with TNS =)
High School Musical
@2:59 PM
Here is a quote from Huiying's blog. Since she has this right click protection thing which is like totally annoying, I have to type everything out... -.-" Ok here goes:"But the only happy thing is that HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL is finally showing in Singapore THIS SUNDAY!!! YAY!! so happy. the music is the best. even thought Joseph does say 'breaking free' sucks. but it doesn't. trust me. he has no taste"And then she goes on rattling about what other songs she likes and blablabla. When I read this I was like DOTS lor..Me? No taste.. You should go listen to breaking free before siding with her. Firstly, neither of the duo have great or outstanding vocals. So if thats the case, she is condemning herself to their extremely poor standard. So if thats just to show she's oh-so-good at singing, she has really got a poor idol. At least if she idolises Lindsay Lohan im quite ok with it, cause she sings pretty well, but then these 2 unknowns from Breaking Free sounded no better than a Talentime competition organised by schools. And then she goes on to say that I have no taste.. Ya I know im repeating the point, but then firstly the rule to each his own still applies, and I dont see why she is so offended lor. Even Yunita wasnt this low (and that's saying something) to retaliate when we discussed Weilian's vocal ability... Never mind. I'll help the directors of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, and ask those of you interested to go watch it. Haiz
Counter
@1:37 PM
Beware: YOU ARE BEING TAGGED. EVERY MOVE YOU MAKE IS RECORDER ON HIGHLY UNSENSTIVE NOT BRAND NEW CAMERAS!Yeah, anyway I just got a website visitor counter on the suggestion of Hiok Yang, who has achieved a high count of visitors. Anyway I think this post is pointless, but its fun to blog, I feel. Anyway some people are complaining that the holidays suck. I wholeheartedly disagree lor. Who likes school? Maybe so I did when I was in TNS, but now in ACS, I dont feel I have anything going back to school for. Each day is so tiring and tedious. Then I have to take a long bus ride home. When I see some of my old classmates (Dunmanians), it makes the trip worth it, but when a desolate bus stop is to be seen, its like Siiiiiiiiiggggggghhhhhh

My 40th post
@1:43 PM
Yay! I finally hit the 40 mark in this blog, I think I got 43 or so on my old blog and a few on the class blog, so that brings me to about 90? On such a joyous occasion, thank you Hioky for tagging me with the Weird Things About Yourself Curse. Actually I was cursed yesterday, but I shall only tell you today =P. Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with 6 weird facts/things/habits about yourself, saying who tagged you. In the end you need to choose the 5 people to be tagged and list their names.1. I go against gaming trends. When people play DOTA, I play HALO. People play Maple I play Runescape.2. I don't really like going out of the house, rather stay at home to go online on MSN or play games.3. I used to go the library very often (almost every day) for the first 3 months of last year then barely go now. Weird right? So means I not so avid about reading liao.4. I study in a Methodist Institution although I am A Catholic.5. I don't talk to anyone from ACS(I), unless they are in the same CCA as me. The rest are ignored even if they are online.6. I am probably the only person of my age crazy enough to be so obsessed with someone. *ahem*I feel weird, I'll write one more7. I am the only ONE in my class, and probably the whole cohort that likes and misses their primary school.There you go.I tag Germy, Tiantian, Bea, Lu and Han.(Marcus Bro)
Fish Fish Fish
@1:20 PM
I never thought that this could happen la, but I am going to eat 4 bowls of Sliced Fish Bee Hoon in 4 days. For now, its 3 bowls in 4. When I went to watch X-men III on Wednesday, I had it for lunch and dinner. Yesterday I was spared and today I ate it again after tuition. Then tomorrow I will be going to eat again. Sigh. But its nice =)
@8:42 AM
I shall start on a good note by wishing Cherie Happy Birthday.Sianz, there isnt really much to do is there?Except HOMEWORK HOMEWORK HOMEWORK...then as if its not enough, TUITIONWORK TUITIONWORK TUITIONWORK! Geez...Honestly I'm quite sian of school liao, when school reopen so sian. I hate my class. I hate my school. I love 6I. I love TNS. Where everyone is like so nice, and Im not saying this cause I already am a senior in p6, but because everyone is like nice, not snobbish, bla bla bla. Where is Miss Koh la, my Maths teacher teaches so fast its like the sky is falling. Then its alot alot alot of practise, but you dont even know what you are supposed to learn in the first place. Sometimes I dont even understand what he saying. Seriously, I am just bored, but dont feel like going to do HOMEWORK, I just like want to slack. I dont know why I even posted. I think it must be because of my lack of sleep. Been tossing and turning in bed ever since the class gathering. Was it something I did or saw? I dont know. Sigh.

Anyway thanks to Hiok and Joanne for helping me to choose the blog song and being my eyes on the website as I could not see it. Anyway, Hope all of you like it
Cockroach Terminator
Tuesday, June 13, 2006 @9:46 PM
I was at SPC for a car wash just now. So it was perfectly normal, except now the people washing the cars had Mp3/Mp4 players with them la. Then while they were wiping my car, I saw a peculiar Indian staff of SPC, first using a hose to clean the male toilet, then following with spraying alot....alot... alot... of something. At first I thought it was some kind of air freshener, but taking a closer look, I saw that it was Mortein™. Instead of aiming at the ground, where cockroaches and other pests would be, he was spraying it upwards and in a circular motion. And I was like dots. And he didnt even cover his mouth, so probably he got the full blast of the insecticide, geez. And you know whats next? Not 1 minute later, someone else entered the toilet......Then my dad wanted to gas up, and I saw the victim stepping out. He looked perfectly normal, but with a Ah Beng and blur look, probably he didnt notice. Geez
Class Gathering June 2006
Monday, June 12, 2006 @10:21 PM
Hey ppl, remember this picture? ---All look up--- Yeah old blogskin
designed by me =p. Anyway we had yet another class gathering at Xinyi's so-called Second house at Parbury Hill Condominium. I have got a gut feeling that it is rather poorly managed, cause there aren't even signs there to guide you to the extremely well hidden barbeque pit which didnt really look like a BBQ pit but anyway, I had to ask for directions after walking round. Actually I think I was like 100m away from the secret BBQ pit before I turned around and decided to ask for directions. A kind resident got her daughter on skates to bring me there. Thanks! Anyway it was a great gathering, though I must have missed 2 great hours or more of it as I only came after my Piano Exam and after waiting for my parents (who insisted) on sending me. We had some great barbequed Chicken Wings, satay , baked potato, some drinks Zitao brought, Chocolates (most probably from Cherie), and other nice food =) =) Anyway Chen laoshi + son was there, but I think the son was quite bored, but then again, I don't think he would really like to talk to us anyway. Anyway I think Chenzi left at about 8+, shortly after Xinyi's siblings and friends came la. Actually I think it was like also a cum Cherie and Xinyi Birthday party along with the Class Gathering, but it was still FUN! Sad thing was Miss Koh is in Malaysia and Miss Theng, Cambodia, so there weren't any other people. It was quite a fun time, though intially we were quite scared to go near chenzi, so all the boys were like 'loitering' around. But then led by Jordan and me, we got in and tried to help to heat the charcoal. It was quite funny coz I think germy and kenmin kept taking turns to put the fire out. But it was FUN! and smoky...duh..Anyway later me Jordan kenmin went to play Monkey with the girls la, while Eddie and co. went to play some kind of soccer at the other end. When it was finally time to eat, I ate a bit only la, coz I mean I dont really want to stuff myself. So I took like a bit of beehoon, 1 baked potato, 1 satay, 3 chicken wings. Then I was like helping Cherie to 'capture' Hiok Yang to capture him on the camera. He kepy saying," Dunwan la, later spoil the camera..." I tried taking one myself but then it was engulfed by the hands trying to hold him. Anyway the only time I got a decent shot was after Cherie's mom say Hioky very handsome, and then he tried to run as I tried to get him and 10 cents dropped out. Then later I picked it up and said," I got your money take a photo i give you back.He then said: how much? I said 50cents. Yang agreed-----he took the photo and he realised it was only 10cents. Im so bad.Anyway after that we tried playing with the girls, and I think we stopped coz we needed to cut the cake, then I was like very enthu about the big knife, was brandishing it around, anyway I use the knife, especially of that size, so I made sure I didnt kill anyone or anything. Then after nice Haggen Daas ice cream cake we went to play then shortly after I left for home. Anyway need to go now, I'll post again when Cherie/Jade sends me the gathering pics and I'll post here k? Yep Cya!
Fifa World Cup 2006
Saturday, June 10, 2006 @12:09 PM
Last night I stayed up for the first match - Germany Vs. Costa Rica. Actually based on previous games, it was quite obvious that Germany was going to win, just a matter of the goal difference. It was really a treat when a goal was scored in just 6 minutes by Philipp Lahm. Actually, I suspect the Costa Rican goalkeeper was not very terrific, so Im not that surpised, only when he got warmed up then he was really on to stopping the ball. Then just 6 minutes later, Paulo Wanchope equalised for Costa Rica. I can tell you, all those punters and betters must have been furious and cursing away because a goal against Germany would be pretty much unexpected, especially with a great Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann. And then in the 17th minute, Germany was put 2-1 up. Normally after Germany is in the lead, the team would play mainly a defensive strategy for pretty much of the second half. Hence I went to sleep, only this morning that I realised that I missed out on 3 goals, as the final scoreline was 4-2 to Germany. So, Wanchope scored Costa Ricas 2 goals, Klose Miroslav scored 2 of Germany's on his birthday (28?) Then Philipp Lahm and Torsten Frings scored 1 each. Talking about Frings, I'm feeling hungry. When I was playing Fifa 2005, I always thought of him as a spring chicken. Weird, but Nvm.
For all those who want to know more about the World Cup or you just want to see the player/team profiles, anything at all. Go to this website.http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/

HRC- A place where my memories are
Thursday, June 08, 2006 @7:53 AM
Most of you should know
where Hard Rock Cafe Singapore is. You see, I was inspired to post about this when I went back to eat there last night... Brings back so many good memories, ya? Looking at the picture, it must have been some time ago right? It was taken in the December of 2004, where Joey organised her Birthday Party. It was such a fun and interesting party, and being there again makes me more anxious in anticipating the class gathering =]
Class Gathering
Tuesday, June 06, 2006 @9:56 PM
Yay! Class gathering is just 6 days away, but then it is on the worst day on earth la. Its not my birthday, not the day the world is ending, but the day I have my piano exam, so if I go, It'll be rather late, since my exam only starts at a non-changable time of 4.29pm...So ya, could reach Xy's by about 6.30 if my parents send me. My mom doesnt like it that I have to walk in such a long way in case I get kidnapped or anything. Ya doesnt matter, as long as I get to go Im content.

Library Camp Day 1
Thursday, June 01, 2006 @10:47 PM

Today I had library camp. Initially it was quite sian and was extremely bored, especially when they told us to come at 9am and the Bus to the National Library only at 1045, so sit around in the school library read book lor. I was reading Piratica by Tanith Lee, and I must admit its quite a good book, and I managed to hack through about 370 pages in like maybe 2 hours of reading? I dont know. On the bus also veri sian, so I just played with Kevin's Wombat plush keychain throughout the trip. Anyway, one of our school librarians was one of the Ex-staff of the NLB, so we had to keep stopping once in a while to let her talk to her ex-colleagues. In the end I think we dumped her somewhere and left with our Tour Guide. Lol lol lol. Anyway, forgot to say la. We supposed to reach there at 1130, so there would be 1 hour lunch break till 1230, then we had to gather. But it being only 1105, I went to Yu Kee Duck House to have lunch with Malcolm. He ordered his Kway Chap and had a tough time trying to say
liver in chinese. After I helped him, I ordered their speciality Duck rice of the same price, and in my opinion, the portion of kway chap looked miserly next to me big plate of rice XD. After that we went Bugis Junction to stroll and look at shops and I took some really cool X-Men III postcards. Then came the 1 1/2 hour where we supposed to select and read the book that we want to do for a book review we had to do later. Since I was already reading Piratica halfway, I saw no reason to indulge in a new book hence I just kept reading Piratica for the whole day..Yeah even through the tour coz its quite boring anyway. Shan't bore you, just want to say that we went to some exclusive gardens that weren't accessible to the public and the famous
POD, which gave a spectacular view of the Singapore skyline. (See pic) So cool lor there was a coffee vending machine and while some of us bought coffee, milo, wadeva, others kept pressing the hot water button, which provided free hot water, so all the cheapskate people were very happy and kept taking. Lol
